Your day-by-day adventure awaits
Day 1
Day 1: Bagdogra → Phuentsholing
Distance: 160 km; Driving Time: Approx. 4 hours
Pickup from Bagdogra Airport. Meet and greet on arrival.
Drive directly to Phuentsholing. Check into hotel. Evening free for leisure.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2
Day 2: Phuentsholing → Thimphu
Distance: 180 km; Driving Time: Approx. 6 hours
Morning after breakfast, complete permit formalities.
Visit Kharbandi Gompa / Milarepa Lhakhang. Then drive through spectacular mountain views and peaceful countryside toward Thimphu.
Pass through Gedu (approximately 9,000 ft above sea level) with scenic views of Chukha Dam. Stop for photos at Wankha Waterfalls.
Arrive in Thimphu, check into hotel. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3
Day 3: Thimphu → Dochula → Punakha → Back to Thimphu
Distance: 70 km; Driving Time: Approx. 3 hours
Morning drive to Dochula Pass (3,080m) — famous for panoramic Himalayan views and 108 memorial chortens.
Continue to Punakha to visit:
- Punakha Dzong — strategically built at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers
- Suspension Bridge
- Chimi Lhakhang View (Monastery of Fertility)
Return to Thimphu for overnight stay.
Day 4
Day 4: Thimphu Local Sightseeing → Paro
Distance: 65 km; Driving Time: Approx. 2 hours
Morning sightseeing tour of Thimphu including:
- National Library
- Handicraft Emporium
- Simply Bhutan (Living Museum)
- National Memorial Chorten
- Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma)
- Tashichho Dzong (The Seat of Government)
- Takin Zoo (National Animal of Bhutan)
- Zorig Chusum School of 13 Traditional Arts and Crafts
After sightseeing, drive to Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5
Day 5: Paro Local Sightseeing
Full Day Sightseeing
Morning drive to visit:
- Nya Mey Zam Bridge (Traditional cantilever bridge)
- Rinpung Dzong
- Kichu Lhakhang (One of Bhutan's oldest monasteries)
- Paro International Airport (viewpoint)
- Tiger's Nest View (Taktsang Monastery — panoramic view)
- National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong)
Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6
Day 6: Paro → Phuentsholing → Bagdogra
Distance: 350 km; Driving Time: Approx. 10 hours
After breakfast, drive from Paro to Phuentsholing, then continue to Bagdogra.
Your tour ends here with a memorable experience of Bhutan.
