Day 1
Day 1: Bagdogra → Phuentsholing
Distance: 160 km ; Driving Time: Approx. 4 hours
Pickup from Bagdogra Airport. Meet and greet on arrival.
Drive to Phuentsholing. Check into hotel.
Evening free for a relaxed walk to explore the local market on your own.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2
Day 2: Phuentsholing → Thimphu
Distance: 180 km ; Driving Time: Approx. 6 hours
Morning after breakfast, complete permit formalities.
Visit Kharbandi Gompa / Milarepa Lhakhang. Then drive through spectacular mountain views and peaceful countryside toward Thimphu.
Enroute, pass Gedu (approximately 9,000 ft above sea level) with scenic views of Chukha Dam. Stop for photos at Wankha Waterfalls.
Arrive in Thimphu, check into hotel. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3
Day 3: Thimphu Local Sightseeing
Altitude: 2,334m
Morning after breakfast, start your local sightseeing tour of Thimphu covering the places below:
- National Memorial Chorten
- Tashichho Dzong (Tashidzong)
- Folk Heritage Museum
- Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma)
- Telecom Tower View Point
- Simply Bhutan (Living Museum)
- National Library
- Changangkha Lhakhang
- Motithang Takin Preserve (Takin Zoo)
- Handicraft Market
After sightseeing, take a rest. Evening stroll in the main town or market by walking.
Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 4
Day 4: Thimphu → Punakha Sightseeing & Night Stay
Distance: 74 km ; Driving Time: Approx. 3 hours ; Altitude of Punakha: 1,300m
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Punakha.
On the way, visit Dochula Pass. Then cover local sightseeing at Punakha:
- Punakha Dzong — built at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers
- Punakha Suspension Bridge
- White River Rafting (activity — optional)
- Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple)
After sightseeing, check into hotel. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 5
Day 5: Punakha → Paro Sightseeing & Night Stay
Distance: 115 km ; Driving Time: Approx. 3.5 hours ; Altitude of Paro: 2,200m
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer from Punakha to Paro.
Cover half-day local sightseeing at Paro:
- Rinpung Dzong Monastery (Paro Dzong)
- Paro Airport View Point
- Bhutanese Traditional Dress Centre
- National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong)
Check into your pre-booked hotel at Paro.
Evening stroll in the local town or market by walking. Enjoy the nightlife at Paro if interested.

Day 6
Day 6: Paro – Tiger's Nest Monastery (Trekking) & Sightseeing
Altitude: 2,200m (Tiger's Nest at 3,120m)
Morning after breakfast, visit Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest Monastery) for trekking.
Once your trekking is done, consider taking a hot stone bath & spa for body and mind relief.
After that, visit 2-3 additional sightseeing points as time permits.
Evening free for an exploratory walk around the main street and market area.
Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 7
Day 7: Paro → Phuentsholing
Distance: 180 km ; Driving Time: Approx. 6 hours
Morning after breakfast, drive from Paro back to Phuentsholing.
Check into hotel. Evening at leisure.
Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 8
Day 8: Phuentsholing → Bagdogra
Distance: 160 km ; Driving Time: Approx. 4 hours
Morning after breakfast, drive to Bagdogra Airport.
